A brief history
Rob has been singing and ministering in church and at Christian events for as long as he can remember. However, it was in 1979 that Rob left his job in an insurance office to join mission team Good News Crusade and he’s been in “full time” music ministry ever since
From 1979-1987 Rob worked with the mission team as solo artist, worship leader and band frontman, releasing two solo albums “Jesus is my Music” and “Anything You Ask” as well as several albums with “The Reapers” band
In 1988 Rob and his family moved to be part of Biggin Hill Christian Fellowship from where he continued to work on a freelance basis in close association with churches and mainstream Christian organisations. The CD album “Take me There” was released
on Word’s Myrrh label and Rob also found himself involved as worship leader at Spring Harvest, initially with the youth team and from 1990 for the alternative celebrations
During the ‘90s some of Rob’s most fruitful work was in Poland with ChSA (the equivalent of
UCCF here in the UK) giving concerts in student clubs and high schools there. More recent visits have seen Rob speaking at the national Alpha conference in Warsaw and, in August 2005, at the IFES student leader conference, teaching and leading worship. Rob has worked in many central and East European countries, having had a close association with the charity Eurovangelism for many years
More recently Rob moved from Biggin Hill to West Sussex where for five years he was resident music leader at CFNuk Bible School. These days Rob and his wife attend Arun Community Church (also home to Christian band Delirious?) and Rob continues to make himself available to churches and schools for outreach, ministry, leading worship, encouraging and helping church worship bands and in whatever way people feel he can be of service to them
The new cd Peace in our Time is now available - see the news page for details
